About Hrant Auto Service

Hrant Auto Service is an auto repair shop in Pasadena, California. It is listed at 1477 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104, which places it among the local businesses of Pasadena that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as brake shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–5:30 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Hrant Auto Service at (626) 798-4064; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 262 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Pasadena.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was referred to Hrant Auto Service by a friend who highly recommended them, and I’m so glad I took their advice! Today the service was authentic, professional, and fast. I came in for an oil change, and I was very happy with the entire experience. Excellent service, fair pricing, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back and I think I just found my regular auto service shop! Highly recommend.

I have been with Hrant auto services as a client for over a decade. The team is always kind and professional. Hrant himself always is patient no matter how busy they are. He even called me back when he was not at work and missed my call. I appreciate him so much and will always be his client. I hope more service businesses can learn from him and his team. Customer service is the key to retain clients.

What an absolutely amazing experience! First of all, I just want to say that Hrant took my call with a lot of respect and kindness despite my kid unfortunately teething in the background. As it goes being a parent I was trying to do too many things at once and life happens. None the less Hrant was very understanding of the situation and did his best to prioritize getting my car in ASAP the next day due to an upcoming trip on my end. I showed up bright and early, his team took a look at my car, did a test drive and fixed my issue all under an hour! Hrant let me know that the issue was a loose nut that could have lead to a dangerous situation on the road. They fixed things up and charged a very fare rate given how quickly they got me in, addressed the issue and how good the customer service was. I was looking for a new mechanic and thankfully it seems like I found my guy! I absolutely can not thank these guys enough. I will be back and you should absolutely come through too.

Incredible service! These guys are true professionals—fast, friendly, and extremely courteous. I was in and out much sooner than expected. Highly recommend if you want quality work without the long wait.

Very honest and fast. I moved from out of state and was very stressed about finding a honest mechanic. I was surprised at how transparent they were with pricing and how reasonable services are (plus not trying to upsell me). They are very friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back and feel like my car is in great hands with their service. 10/10! Thank you!!
